Bilateral & Multilateral Approaches
Organisational learning: people in the process (pdf 460kb)
This item is a power point presentation that provides a people focused checklist for designers and implementers of organisational learning. The presentation explains the meaning of organisational learning and the conditions that would encourage staff to contribute to organisational learning. Although directed at larger international non-government aid agencies, it is relevant to all who are working to build the capacity of government and non-government organisations.
The presentation describes how to encourage reasons for wanting to be part of a learning organisation (motive), how to encourage learning (means) and how to create the space and remove barriers at individual and team level (opportunity). Finally the presentation provides some practical starting points for individuals, teams and organisations.
