This site provides a compelling overview of the need for domestic and international disability related legislation. It describes the role that disability legislation can play in ensuring people with disabilities are not denied rights.Links are provided to international legal frameworks, such as UN Conventions that are applicable to all people, including people with disabilities. Links are also provided to agreements based on specific disabilities (people with mental illness), regionally focused frameworks, and international agreements to specific rights (for example vocational rehabilitation and employment).
