Assessing the contribution of ICT to development goals

  • Date: 26 - 28 May 2009
  • Venue: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
  • The International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP ) invites you to the 10TH International Conference on Social Implications of Computers in Developing Countries.

The conference will explore the contribution of ICTs to the achievement of sustainable development.

It is widely recognised that ICTs have potential to contribute to meeting development goals such as basic health care, poverty reduction and education. It is often argued that countries harnessing the potential of ICTs can expect accelerating economic growth, improving human welfare and the fostering of good governance practices.

The conference will bring together academics, practitioners, and policy advisors who are involved with ICT and development in developing countries.
